An ECO water fire extinguisher is a water fire extinguisher that uses only water as an extinguishing agent, making it PFAS free and environmentally-friendly.
The primary on an ECO water extinguisher are red, but most will have green colouring to highlight it's environmentally-friendly properties.
Water fire extinguishers are commonly found in schools, hospitals, office buildings, apartments, shops, paper mills, storage units, textile factories and general warehouses.
Refilling water extinguishers is a cheap and simple method. We recommend larger water fire extinguishers, even when fighting smaller fires.
All our portable fire extinguishers are supplied ready for use, but those with larger capacities may need to be filled and charged prior to the first time they’re used. The product listing will explain this clearly.
No, a traditional water fire extinguisher should never be used around electrical equipment as water and electricity do NOT mix. The only exception is ‘water mist’ that has been tested and passed the di-electrical conductivity test which marks them as safe for use on live electrical equipment up to 1,000V.
