The Kentec Sigma AlarmSense panels, available in 4-zone (KA11040M2) and 8-zone (KA11080M2) versions, as well as the 2-zone (KA11020M2) model, form part of an AlarmSense system that enables all detection and sounder devices in a given zone to be wired to the same pair of cables. This significantly reduces cabling and installation requirements, cutting costs without compromising performance.

Incorporating a "Selectable Local Alarm" feature, these panels are particularly useful in Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs) such as student accommodations and nursing homes. When sounder or sounder beacon bases are set to local alarm mode, an alarm will initially trigger only the sounder connected to the activated detector. This feature allows occupants time to clear minor false alarms (e.g., burnt toast) before a full evacuation is required. If the detector reactivates after being reset, a general alarm will sound throughout the premises. Activation of a second detector or a call point will immediately trigger the general alarm.
