The Vimpex Banshee IS28 MK6 is a high-output intrinsically safe sounder designed for fire, safety, and process alarms in hazardous areas.

Building on the proven Banshee platform, it delivers reliable audible warnings with low current consumption, making it suitable for diverse industrial environments.

ATEX and IECEx approved for gas and dust hazards, it can be installed in Zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, and 22. With up to 32 selectable tones and a maximum output of 98 dB(A) at 1 m, it ensures clear alerts even in noisy conditions.

Volume is adjustable via internal DIP switches to balance sound and power usage. Housed in a robust ABS enclosure, it is IP66 rated when installed correctly, protecting against dust and water ingress.

For compliant intrinsically safe operation, the IS28 MK6 must be powered through a certified galvanic isolator or zener barrier.
