The Vimpex 8645700 Intrinsically Safe FlashDome Red Beacon is a high-visibility visual warning device for hazardous and explosive environments.

Certified to ATEX and IECEx standards, it is suitable for Zones 0, 1, and 2, making it ideal for industrial, oil and gas, chemical, and process control applications where reliable signalling is essential.

The FlashDome emits a clear red flashing signal at 1 Hz, ensuring effective visual alerts even in challenging conditions. To maintain intrinsic safety, it must be powered via an approved 28 V, 300 Ω zener barrier or certified galvanic isolator.

Constructed with a flame-retardant ABS body and durable polycarbonate lens, it provides excellent impact and environmental resistance. Rated IP66, it is protected against dust and powerful water jets, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and capable of operating across a wide temperature range.

Installation requires a certified galvanic isolator or zener barrier with output limits of Ui 28 V, Ii 93 mA, and Pi 0.66 W.
